About The Position

We have a great opportunity at our Maternal Fetal Medicine Clinic in Fort Worth, TX. We are looking for a Full Time/Temporary & Float Medical Assistants to join our amazing team at Pediatrix Medical Group. At Pediatrix, we are passionate about giving high-risk expectant mothers and their babies the care they deserve. Our maternal-fetal medicine (MFM) specialists are experts in their field, highly educated and experienced. Above all, they provide compassionate care to the patients we serve each year, providing quality care throughout a mother's pregnancy, as well as during delivery and afterward.

Requirements

Diploma from an accredited program for Medical Assistants required.
MA certification required; if not currently certified, certification must be obtained within 6 months to 1 year dependent on state requirements.
2+ years' experience in OBGYN and/or MFM office-based setting preferred.
Healthcare
CPR certification required
Must have the ability to follow universal precautions,
Ability to maintain OSHA standards and HIPAA regulations.
Up to 75 % travel required for clinic coverage.

Responsibilities

Greet and escort patient to exam room, gather patient history, take and record vital signs, prepare patient for examination and document all information in patient medical record.
Support delivery of high-quality patient experience through excellent customer service and communication with patients, families and other care providers while ensuring a safe patient care environment.
Provide assistance to physician and/or advanced practice provider in preparing and conducting medical exams and office procedures under direct guidance and supervision of physician and advance practice provider. .
Perform applicable medical procedures collect, and prepare laboratory specimens, administer injections/immunizations, and perform venipuncture, as allowed by state regulations.
Communicate information and instructions to patients as directed by physician, advanced practice provider, or nursing staff and ensure patient's understanding of the information.
Assist with scheduling of tests, treatments, and follow-up appointments, and communicate teste results to patients.
Ensure exam rooms are clean and stocked with adequate medical supplies, maintain instruments, and prepare sterilization as required.
Respond to calls and requests for referrals and appointments, triage and process messages, and requestes from patients, clinic staff, referring physicians and pharmacies. Maintains patient files, records, and other information.
Other duties as assigned.
