About The Position

JOB TITLE: Medical Assistant LOCATIONS: New York City SALARY: $18 - $24 per hour Type: Part-time (ON-call, flex force, 1-2 month term) Duties and Responsibilities: Work closely with the physician to prepare patients for examination and procedure. Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations, keeping the rooms neat and clean. Interviews patients and records all gathered information in the patients’ chart. Uses Ultrasound during interventional procedures. Ensure the patient's medical information is up to date. Maintaining physician and patient medical equipment and supplies. Communicate effectively with provider. Support the office coordinator and physician liaison. Maintain a quiet and peaceful environment that promotes healing. Handle all confidential information with discretion and sensitivity, and within the HIPAA Laws. Travel between assigned clinic locations as needed. Other duties as assigned. Requirements • High School Diploma or GED or Associate degree. • Proven working experience as a medical assistant. • Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures • Knowledge of medical terminology • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work. • Social perceptiveness and service oriented. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Strong organizational and planning skills Preferred Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree • 1+ years of experience as a Medical Assistant • Knowledge of ICD-10 codes • Experience with medical pre-authorizations At Pelvic Rehabilitation Medicine, we value, welcome, appreciate, and celebrate differences.
