About The Position

It's more than a career, it's a calling MO-SSM Health Medical Group - Urgent Care Arnold Worker Type: Regular Job Highlights: This is a full-time position working four 10-hour shifts per week and every other weekend. The hours are 9am-7:30pm. The position will primarily work as a Medical Assistant but have additional duties registering patients. The address of the urgent care is: 1120 Shackelford Road Florissant, MO 63031 Job Summary: Assists with the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a nurse practitioner, registered nurse, licensed practical nurse or physician.

Requirements

• High School diploma/GED or 10 years of work experience
• Wisconsin ONLY - High School diploma/GED or 10 years of work experience , and graduate from a medical assistant school or training program or education equivalency for certification
• Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) - American Heart Association (AHA)

Responsibilities

• Assists with treatments ordered by provider as supervised by provider, registered nurse or licensed practical nurse.
• Performs select clinical duties.
• Interviews patients, measures vital signs, and records information on patients' charts.
• Prepares treatment rooms for examination of patients.
• Performs basic clerical duties including answering the phone, maintaining records, and filing.
• Performs basic materials management functions to include ordering and stocking of supplies.
• Assists with maintaining a clean and orderly environment.
• Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
