About The Position

Primary Responsibilities/Requirements: Perform general nursing duties in a busy orthopedic setting Perform wound care/dressing changes Drawing up injections Call in or escribe medications Application of sterile fields Applying splints and fitting of orthotics as needed Schedule diagnostic imaging (MRI, CT, US, etc.) and obtain insurance precertification Locate any necessary test results, and/or reports Prepare exam rooms, restock supplies for clinic, power up computers, etc. Prepare charts for clinic and print out patient information Fill out return-to-work forms (FMLA/STD) as needed Obtain signature on miscellaneous forms and fax as needed Friendly and Professional patient communication: Answering and returning patient phone calls Procedure education Escorting patients to and from exam rooms Responding to and charting patient messages and other necessary documentation Must also possess:  MA license or certification preferred Orthopedic experience a plus Clinical experience preferred Ability to communicate effectively with patients, TOC physicians and staff Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in very busy clinical setting Outstanding organizational, verbal and writing skills Independent and highly motivated Exhibit initiative and self-discipline Proven positive, “teamwork” attitude and work history Experience with surgical patients preferred Physical Demands: Must be able to use arms, hands, and fingers skillfully Frequent moving, pushing, pulling of heavy patients and/or equipment Constant standing and walking for long periods of time Must be agile and able to work efficiently in space limited areas Consistently work at a productive pace Must readily adapt to frequent treatment schedule changes To apply please visit: https://www.visittoc.com/about-us/careers/ [https://www.visittoc.com/about-us/careers/]

Requirements
