You’ll play an essential role in delivering top-quality patient care by: Providing direct patient care and administering medications Assisting with biopsies and surgical procedures Calling patients with test results & supporting MIPS initiatives Rooming patients and assisting physicians during examinations Collecting and recording patient health history and assessments Documenting care, medications, and responses in the medical record Handling non-emergent patient calls & giving physician-directed guidance Scheduling procedures and coordinating authorizations/referrals Managing prescription refills via phone, fax, or e-prescribing Supporting patient wellness through education and communication

Requirements

  • 1–2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant
  • Experience with EMR systems & scribing
  • Excellent communication & teamwork skills
  • Dependability and strong attention to detail
  • Ability to follow OSHA safety guidelines
  • Strong computer literacy
  • 1 year of recent medical office experience
  • Current BLS certification
  • Willing to be part of a cohesive team and understand the importance of communication within the team
  • Works well with co-workers and others across all levels within the Division
  • Ability to use manual dexterity to perform medical treatments
  • Dependability to complete work in a timely, accurate, and thorough manner
  • Ability to follow OSHA safety guidelines and privacy policies
  • Strong computer literacy with EHR experience
  • Current BLS certification

Nice To Haves

  • Current CMA or RMA certification from an accredited organization
  • Dermatology office experience
