The new South Nampa Urgent Care clinic is now hiring for a motivated and adaptable Medical Assistant !
Position Summary & Highlights This position will work with a variety of providers and other MAs and RNs in a care team environment. Please make sure you meet the minimum requirements below before applying. CNA certification does not count towards MA certification. MA experience or schooling is required. Saint Alphonsus is proud to expand our urgent care services in South Nampa at 12th Ave Rd and Hawaii. We’re here when you need us when illness or injuries strike. Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required at hire
• MA certification required within 90 days of hire from one of the following Saint Alphonsus approved agencies: American Association of Medical Assistants (CMA) American Medical Technologists (RMA) National Healthcare Association (CCMA) National Center for Competency Testing (NCMA) National Association of Health Professionals (NRCMA) American Medical Certification Association (CMAC) National Phlebotomy Certification Examination (NPCE MA)
• MA certificate of completion required from an accredited program or school
• Completion of either a 100-hour MA externship or 6 months MA experience in lieu of the externship hours even with MA certification
• 1 Year of MA experience OR Current MA Certification OR obtain or renew certification within 90 days from hire from approved credentialing agencies listed above
• Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers certification from either AHA, ARC or the Military Training Network is required at hire

Responsibilities

• Perform phlebotomy
• Administer immunizations
• Prep injections
• Assist with minor procedures
• Complete POC and other tests
• Complete tasks and orders in the task inbox
