About The Position

We are seeking compassionate full-time and PRN Medical Assistants to support primary care, after-hours care, and occupational health services within our clinic network serving tribal and non-tribal community members in Payson, AZ. This role is ideal for nurses who thrive in collaborative environments and are committed to delivering holistic primary care, after-hours care, and occupational health services. What will you be doing in this role? Greet and room patients; obtain and document vitals, history, and presenting concerns Prepare exam rooms and support providers during examinations and procedures Perform point-of-care testing and assist with specimen collection Complete patient intake, documentation, and orders in the clinic’s EMR Support care coordination, follow-up communication, and patient education Carry out occupational health tasks as applicable (screenings, testing, triage support) Maintain clean, safe, organized clinical spaces in compliance with infection control standards Facilitate patient flow to support efficient, high-quality care Participate in quality improvement, safety, and operational processes Collaborate with the clinical team to support coordinated, patient-centered care This does not necessarily list all responsibilities, duties, requirements, or efforts associated with the job. Requirements

  • Successful completion of a Medical Assistant program OR equivalent clinical experience as permitted by state law
  • Does not currently have any professional disciplinary proceeding of any state or federal authorities or any disciplinary action of any medical facility in any jurisdiction
  • Has never been excluded, suspended, or otherwise sanctioned by Medicare, Medicaid, or any other third-party payor, nor listed on any state or government list of excluded individuals, parties, or specially designated nationals list as debarred, excluded, or otherwise ineligible for participation in government healthcare programs.
  • CPR/AED/BLS certification or the ability to obtain it prior to start of employment; maintain and provide proof of current certification(s)
  • Ability to multitask and support patient flow in a clinical environment
  • Competency with EMR systems and basic computer programs (Microsoft Office)
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality at all times
  • Willingness to obtain additional certifications (e.g., X-ray tech, phlebotomy) if required by clinic operations
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within the clinical team
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to maintain strict confidentiality at all times
  • This position requires candidates to be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without requiring current or future sponsorship for an employment visa (e.g., H-1B, OPT, etc.).
