The Medical Assistant assists in the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of an urgent care provider. This role involves managing the check-in and registration process, interviewing patients, measuring vital signs (pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height), and recording information on patients' charts. The Medical Assistant may also be required to draw and collect blood samples from patients, prepare specimens for laboratory analysis, and prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations.
