About The Position

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a skilled and patient-focused Medical Assistant to support physicians and clinical staff in a fast-paced outpatient setting. This role is responsible for assisting with patient care, maintaining efficient clinic flow, documenting clinical information in the EMR, and supporting daily clinic operations while ensuring confidentiality and high-quality patient care.

Requirements

  • Strong computer skills (EMR systems, Microsoft Outlook, Excel, scheduling tools)
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with patients, providers, and clinical teams
  • Willingness to travel to other clinic locations as required
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program
  • BLS

Nice To Haves

  • 2–5 years of Medical Assistant or related clinical experience
  • Experience across multiple care settings (Primary Care, Specialty, EMT, etc.)
  • Clinical skills including phlebotomy, EKGs, stitch removal, and splinting
  • Associate Degree
  • CMA or RMA

Responsibilities

  • Assist providers during patient exams and treatments
  • Maintain patient flow throughout clinic hours
  • Measure and document vital signs (BP, pulse, respirations, height, weight)
  • Review and update medical, social, family history, and medication lists
  • Accurately document patient information in the EMR
  • Prepare and manage patient charts, including scanning and abstracting records
  • Obtain diagnostic reports and outside medical records as needed
  • Process medication refills and prior authorizations; communicate with pharmacies and insurers
  • Manage medication and sample inventory; dispose of expired items
  • Prepare, stock, and maintain exam rooms; order supplies as needed
  • Respond to patient calls, MyChart messages, and EMR work queues
  • Schedule appointments and perform patient check-in/check-out
  • Complete pre-certifications for procedures, prescriptions, and surgeries
  • Perform clinical procedures such as EKGs, vaccinations, phlebotomy, cast removal, and other assigned tasks
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with regulatory requirements
  • Support quality initiatives and enhance patient experience
  • Assist with training new staff and serve as an EMR Super User when needed
