About The Position

University Center for Pain Management is seeking a full time Medical Assistant (MA) to join our growing practice at UT Medical Center. Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience working in a clinical setting.
  • Proficiency with EMR systems and understanding of medical documentation.
  • Experience with pre-authorizations preferred.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and be adaptable to changing priorities.
  • Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA or RMA) is required.

Responsibilities

  • Assist providers during patient examinations and procedures.
  • Perform routine clinical tasks including taking vital signs, preparing patients for exams, and documenting patient histories.
  • Manage and complete pre-authorization requests and tasks as needed.
  • Work alongside a provider 4 days a week, aiding with patient care and ensuring accurate documentation.
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels of medical supplies, ensuring adequate stock.
  • Order and restock supplies as necessary to maintain smooth clinic operations.
  • Utilize the EMR system to accurately input patient information and track medical records.
