About The Position

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of Medical Assistant experience (externships not included)
• Proven phlebotomy and venipuncture experience required
• Prior EMR system experience required
• Strong attention to detail and effective communication skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment emphasizing health education and outreach
• Front and back office clinical support
• Phlebotomy and venipuncture
• EKG administration
• Point-of-care (POC) testing
• Patient scheduling and intake
• Rooming patients and taking vital signs
• BLS or CPR certification

Nice To Haves

• Medical Assistant Certification strongly preferred
• Occupational Health experience strongly preferred

Responsibilities

• Greet, room, and assist patients during clinic visits
• Schedule appointments and manage incoming phone calls
• Measure and record vital signs
• Perform phlebotomy and venipuncture procedures
• Administer vaccines as directed
• Conduct EKGs and point-of-care (POC) testing
• Provide general clinical and administrative support
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the EMR system
• Foster positive working relationships with clinical and administrative staff
