About The Position

The Medical Assistant II (MA II) works under the delegation of a licensed practitioner, performing duties as directed to assist in providing patient care to assigned patients. The MA II is expected to perform all aspects of the MA I role and demonstrate full competency in the clinical needs and functions specific to their assigned clinic or location. All duties must be performed in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulations. Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school that includes hands-on training in a clinical setting for medical assistants, or Graduate of a registered medical assistant apprenticeship program, or Has completed two years of medical training in the United States Armed Forces, or Minimum one year of work experience as a medical assistant that includes the following clinical skills: obtaining vital signs, administering injections, and medication administration
• Upon hire: Washington Medical Assistant Certification
• Within 30 days of hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
• 6 months of healthcare experience
• 6 months of medical assistant experience
