Requirements

  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or relevant hands-on clinical experience
  • At least 1 year of Medical Assistant experience
  • CPR certification (or willingness to obtain within 3 months)
  • Strong typing and scribing skills (40 WPM or higher)
  • Experience with EHR systems (NextGen preferred)
  • Working knowledge of basic surgical and clinical procedures

Responsibilities

  • Build strong patient connections by conducting interviews, taking vitals, and documenting medical histories with accuracy and care
  • Assist physicians during exams and procedures, including scribing and managing patient records in real time
  • Prepare patients for treatment—remove sutures, change dressings, and administer injections
  • Coordinate care with labs, physical therapy, and diagnostic services to ensure a seamless patient experience
  • Maintain clean, organized exam rooms and support minor in-office procedures
