Requirements
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or relevant hands-on clinical experience
- At least 1 year of Medical Assistant experience
- CPR certification (or willingness to obtain within 3 months)
- Strong typing and scribing skills (40 WPM or higher)
- Experience with EHR systems (NextGen preferred)
- Working knowledge of basic surgical and clinical procedures
Responsibilities
- Build strong patient connections by conducting interviews, taking vitals, and documenting medical histories with accuracy and care
- Assist physicians during exams and procedures, including scribing and managing patient records in real time
- Prepare patients for treatment—remove sutures, change dressings, and administer injections
- Coordinate care with labs, physical therapy, and diagnostic services to ensure a seamless patient experience
- Maintain clean, organized exam rooms and support minor in-office procedures
