Responsibilities
- Patient check-in and triage
- Escort patient to exam room
- Obtain vitals and document into EMR
- Triage patient: obtain chief complaint, social history, confirm pharmacy, confirm contact number, verifies any allergies, verifies vaccination, and reviews medication list with patient
- Point of Care Testing
- Set up and assists provider with procedures
- Assures that instruments used during procedures are cleaned and sterilized
- Administers IM, SQ, and allergy injections
- Discharge patient and assist in patient instructions/education prior to checkout
- Utilizing infection control techniques cleans exam room and makes ready for next patient
- Cleans and stocks exam rooms as needed
- Ensure patient flow is organized and speedy without losing customer service in the process
- Participates in quality assurance tasks as assigned
- Works as TEAM player
