About The Position

General Purpose of Job: Working as part of a team to provide quality patient care and assist with the daily functions of the physician clinic.

Requirements

• State of Michigan LPN, EMT, or Paramedic license if applicable
• RMA/CMA preferred.
• Clinical Experience preferred.
• Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) system preferred.
• High School Diploma, (2) GED or (3) the successful completion of twelve grades combined with the continued enrollment in an Early College Program..
• Graduate of an accredited Cardio Tech, EMT, Paramedic, or LPN program OR Course completion of one of the following programs: Medical Assistant, Armed forces medic program OR 6 months documented Medical Assistant experience in similar clinic setting.
• Mobility required
• Ability to work as part of a team to provide quality patient care.
• Demonstrates a positive team attitude and has interpersonal skills to effectively and appropriately communicate with clients, families, providers, and co-workers
• Necessary visual and auditory acuity to monitor patient's condition and operate department equipment.

Nice To Haves

• RMA/CMA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patients.
• Take vital signs.
• Enter data in electronic medical record.
• Maintain/Stock clinic supplies and exam rooms.
• Patient assistance program for applicable patients.
• Clean surgical equipment.
• Clerical and other duties assigned by the Manager of Patient Care the essential duties of the job beginning with the most important.
