Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Certification as Medical Assistant and/or completion of a Medical Assistant certification program, BLS.

Nice To Haves

  • Medical Office experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Greets patients and visitors in a professional, courteous manner at all times.
  • Maintains patient confidentiality, respect and HIPAA guidelines at all times.
  • Assists patients and providers preparing with examinations, minor procedures within the office, phlebotomy and/or collection of specimens.
  • Performs blood pressures, vital signs and physical assessment of patient through triage
  • Performs ancillary testing as ordered by providers.
  • Completes clear, accurate documentation within the patient medical record.
  • Maintains all clinical areas with supplies necessary to function daily. Keeps exam rooms and work areas within the office clean and sanitary at all times.
  • Assists with making patient appointments outside of the office.
  • Assists with telephone triage, refilling prescription medication as directed by providers.
