About The Position

Defy Medical is looking for a Front Desk Associate on our Medical Staff Team to add to our growing team. The Medical Staff Team plays a pivotal role in the patient care plan. The Front Desk Associate will be the first impression of Defy Medical with many patients. A Front Desk Associate at Defy Medical is outgoing and enjoys helping people. Friendly demeanor, excellent communication, and organization are pillars for this role. Customer service is the key element to being successful in this role.

Requirements

  • Prior front desk experience
  • 1 + years in healthcare preferred
  • High School Diploma
  • Ability to execute active listening skills to provide exceptional customer service.
  • Excellent inter-personal relationship skills and the ability to work with individuals of all levels.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including phone and e-mail etiquette.
  • Ability to effectively learn and utilize multiple computer programs.
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task.
  • Ability to work in office
  • Monday-Friday 8am-4:45pm
  • $19/hr (not negotiable)

Responsibilities

  • Opening/Closing task of clinic (Alarms, coffee maker, tv, etc)
  • Cordially greet patients as they enter the clinic and provide them with any necessary paperwork or other information needed for their visit.
  • Process and ensure accuracy for Defy shipments orders
  • Handle and process clinic deliveries (tag Magen and I once arrive (only open mail)
  • Communicating with patients, medical personnel, and other staff members within the organization.
  • Maintain patient and employee privacy in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Maintain email communication with patients and co-workers daily
  • Assist with patient initial orders and medical orders
  • Processing of travel letters and letters of medical necessities
  • Upload patient documents into intake Q Medical release request.
  • Assisting with the count of clinic and front office inventory
  • Prepare flow charts, notate appointments, and print out lab orders for following day patients
  • Organize and maintain cleanliness of working areas, supplies, and equipment
  • Provide superior customer service and apply problem solving skills to any patient complaints and provide follow-up to ensure satisfaction
  • Required to be in the MA queue unless speaking to a patient at the window, handling Defy ship tickets (anything after 12p can be done the next day), C/O, and completing any assigned tickets.
  • Lab Draws, PE, TP (days you are not covering the window)
