About The Position
Medical Assistant opportunity for St. Charles County float pool! $5/hour shift differential after training Day Shift hours Must provide proof of Medical Assistant Certification or Registration upon hiring 2 years of current Medical Assistant experience preferred This position requires ability to travel between multiple locations Mileage reimbursement BJC HealthCare MedGroup is now hiring a Full-Time Float Reg Medical Assistant (CMA or RMA) to Float between locations. As a Float - Medical Assistant, you will be a Full-Time BJC employee who travels to provide coverage to multiple BJC MedGroup sites/locations which is determined by the greatest need. Float MA’s are responsible for covering shifts of employees on PTO, Leave, vacation, sick, etc. BJC Corporate Health Services comprises several organizations that share a dedication to creating and maintaining healthy workplaces. The Medical Assistant (MA) provides medical assistance under the direction of a physician or other licensed provider. This position performs select duties for the promotion of health in the care of patients and delivers care according to practice protocols and procedures.

Responsibilities
- Cleans, prepares and stocks supplies in exam rooms.
- Obtains vital signs, patient history and maintains accurate and prompt charting in the patient's record.
- Performs clinical skills, such as phlebotomy, electrocardiography (EKGs), point-of-care testing and injections.
- Triage calls, provide test and lab results to patients and present relevant information to provider with correct medical terminology.
