About The Position
The Medical Assistant is a certified, registered or certification-eligible professional who assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients for a designated time frame. This individual provides safe, quality care to these patients in accordance to the standards established by the American Association of Medical Assistants.
Requirements
- Certificate from a Medical Assistant or Nursing Assistant program
- Completion of an associate or college education program in nursing or allied health from a verifiable educational institution
- Two (2) years of full-time experience as a Medical Assistant preferred within the past five (5) years
- Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association (AHA)
