About The Position

The Center for Breast Care is excited to offer a uniquely specialized Medical Assistant opportunity. Unlike a traditional MA role, our Breast Center Medical Assistants are deeply integrated into three key areas of the department: the High‑Risk Breast Clinic, the Breast Surgery Clinic, and Breast Imaging. This is an excellent opportunity for a Medical Assistant who is eager to expand their clinical skill set, work closely with advanced practice providers and specialists, and be part of a collaborative team dedicated to delivering exceptional breast health care.

Requirements

  • Graduate of a Medical Assistant program, Practical Nursing program or Vocational Nurse program or have completed education to be eligible for NCLEX-PN
  • Or High School Diploma or equivalency and attained a Medical Assistant Certification
  • BLS CPR for healthcare workers

Responsibilities

  • Provide LOVE + MEDICINE to our patients by greeting them with a warm and welcoming smile and setting the tone for their appointments
  • Collaborate as an essential member of a multidisciplinary team, including Surgeons, Physician Assistants, Radiologists, Mammography Technologists, Registered Nurses, and fellow Medical Assistants
  • Assist Radiologists during breast biopsy procedures and other in‑office breast imaging interventions
  • Prepare patients and exam rooms for specialty procedures, ensuring safety, comfort, and efficiency
  • Update patient information in charting systems
  • Provide hands on, patient‑centered support to individuals undergoing breast health evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment
  • Contribute to a collaborative, team‑driven environment dedicated to exceptional breast health care
