General Summary: The Medical Assistant plays a key role in supporting both clinical and administrative functions to ensure the delivery of efficient, high-quality, and patient-centered care. Core responsibilities include obtaining and documenting vital signs, assisting with exams and procedures, performing venipuncture and injections, and maintaining accurate medical records. The Medical Assistant also reviews charts for overdue labs, EKGs, or assessments and communicates timely updates to providers. Additionally, this role supports scheduling, patient communication, and coordination across the interdisciplinary care team. Through effective collaboration and attention to detail, the Medical Assistant enhances patient satisfaction, supports regulatory compliance, and contributes to the clinic’s overall care delivery goals.
