Medical Assistant
About The Position
One Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to join their care team. This full-time position, with a schedule of Monday-Friday 7:30 AM-4:30 PM, pays $18.80-$19.58/hr DOE. No prior experience is needed. The role involves supporting providers, assisting patients throughout their visits, and ensuring smooth clinic operations. The ideal candidate values teamwork, meaningful patient interactions, and being an essential part of a fast-paced healthcare environment. One Health is a non-profit Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) serving rural communities across Montana and Wyoming, providing integrated medical, behavioral health, community health, pharmacy, dental, and public health services.

Nice To Haves
- CNA License
- National Medical Assistant Certification (AAMA, AMT, NCCT, NHA)
- Phlebotomy experience
- Two (2) years experience in community health or a physician’s office
Responsibilities
- Greet patients, assist with check-in, and maintain a welcoming clinic environment.
- Prepare for visits through chart scrubbing, pre-visit planning, and record updates.
- Room patients, take vital signs, complete screenings, review histories, and document accurately in the EHR.
- Assist providers during exams and procedures, including setup and chaperoning as needed.
- Manage delegated EHR inbox tasks such as referrals, normal results, refill requests, and patient cases.
- Make follow-up calls and support care coordination with the clinical team.
- Collect and process specimens, perform CLIA-waived tests, and complete quality control tasks as assigned.
- Stock supplies, clean and organize exam rooms, and maintain equipment.
- Assist patients with required paperwork and coordination with outside agencies.
- Contribute to teamwork, excellent customer service, and a positive, mission-driven clinic culture.
