We are seeking a Medical Assistant to join our team. As a Medical Assistant, you will be preparing for each patient visit by preparing charts and pulling notes before their arrival, providing routine support alongside nurses and medical staff, and assisting with keeping track of tests and lab reporting to ensure everything arrives on time and the patient is kept informed on their condition and care.

You will also help manage the inventory of medical supplies, set up machines and testing equipment, and clean instruments and rooms as needed.

Because we are a concierge practice, attention to detail and exceptional patient service are essential. Our Medical Assistant plays a key role in creating a seamless, welcoming experience for every patient.

The ideal candidate has strong customer service skills, an interest in learning more about a working medical environment, and previous office experience.

Requirements

• BLS Certification or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) desired
• Excellent customer service skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Professional communication skills
• Ability to work independently in a small, team-oriented environment
• Commitment to discretion and patient confidentiality

Responsibilities

• Prepare for each patient visit, including pulling charts and notes and setting up medical equipment
• Ensure exam rooms are prepared, organized, and welcoming
• Clean instruments and equipment after use
• Answer phones and field questions about medical issues, identifying visit needs appropriately
• Assist nurses and physicians with basic medical care and procedures/Give vaccinations/Perform Vitals
• Track lab results and ensure timely follow-up/Take blood from patients for wellness exams
• Call in prescriptions per physician direction
• Manage inventory of medical supplies and equipment
• Maintain a calm, professional, and patient-focused atmosphere
