About The Position

Pediatric Medical Assistant Float We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to work with Christina Dierolf, MD. Duties : - Assist healthcare professionals with patient care and treatment - Prepare patients for examinations and procedures - Take and record vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature - Administer preventative health screenings and immunizations as directed by healthcare providers - Perform basic laboratory tests and collect specimens - Follow OSHA standards regarding bloodborne pathogens and practice Universal Precautions - At the direction of the Physician, may be asked to complete billing information - Prepare and maintain examination rooms and medical equipment - Schedule appointments and manage patient records - Provide patient education and instructions for at-home care - Complete tasks delegated by other care team members (nurse, physician, case manager, etc.) - Protect the confidentiality of patient information by preventing release, both verbally and in writing Requirements : - High school diploma or equivalent - Completion of a medical assistant program or certification - Experience working in a medical office or healthcare setting, pediatric experience preferred - Ability to work and document with accuracy and thoroughness - Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures - Proficiency in electronic health record systems, knowledge of EClinicalWorks a plus - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of a medical assistant program or certification
  • Experience working in a medical office or healthcare setting, pediatric experience preferred
  • Ability to work and document with accuracy and thoroughness
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
  • Proficiency in electronic health record systems, knowledge of EClinicalWorks a plus
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Nice To Haves

  • BLS Certification (Preferred)
