Job Summary Prepare patients for provider exam, take vital signs, record patient history and assist in office procedures. Administer treatment, medications and injections as ordered. Conducts pre-visit planning by reviewing and updating patient charts prior to appointment with recent test results and correspondence. Call patient regarding test results as instructed by provider. Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required or 1-2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant in lieu of High School Diploma.
- Completion of Medical Assistant Program required.
- Three to five years in a healthcare setting is preferred.
- Computer skills required.
- BLS required within 90 days of hire/transfer.
- Completion of annual Medical Assistant Competency training.
Nice To Haves
- Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.
- Excellent customer service skills required.
