About The Position

Empower “U”, Inc. is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to join our growing clinical team. This role supports providers and nursing staff in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in a community health center setting.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Graduate of an approved Medical Assistant program
• Current Medical Assistant certification required
• Current CPR/BLS (American Heart Association) required
• 1–2 years of clinical experience preferred
• Knowledge of medical terminology and EHR systems
• Bilingual (English/Spanish or Creole) preferred

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients and exam rooms for provider visits
• Obtain and document vital signs; report abnormal findings
• Assist with patient flow, scheduling, and discharge instructions
• Perform accurate clinical documentation in the EHR
• Maintain infection control, safety, and HIPAA compliance
• Support daily clinic operations and team-based care delivery
