Shriners Children's has an opportunity for a full time certified Medical Assistant. Schedule is Monday through Friday, 8am-4:30pm.

Requirements

  • HS diploma/GED
  • Certificate as a Certified Medical Assistant(CMA) required within 6 months of employment.
  • BLS within 6 months of employment

Nice To Haves

  • 3 years medical assistant experience
  • 3 years pediatric experience
  • Certification by the American Heart Association (AHA)

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for helping facilitate the flow of patients in the Medical Office of the ACC.
  • This includes assisting the physicians, obtaining data from the patients and their families and entering that data in the EMR, answering questions of and assisting ancillary personnel, as well as providing care under scope of practice.
  • Other duties as assigned.
