We are seeking an experienced Medical Assistant who thrives in both clinical and procedural settings and wants to be a part of a highly professional care team delivering exceptional patient outcomes. This role is ideal for a Medical Assistant who enjoys working at the top of their training and supporting providers in exams, procedures, minor surgery, patient care, and clinical operations. This position combines hands-on patient care, procedural support, and clinical coordination. You will be performing clinical duties under the delegation and supervision of a licensed provider and in accordance with practice policy and applicable regulations. Requirements

  • High School Graduate or GED required.
  • 1+ year(s) of experience in a medical or clinical setting (preferred)
  • Excellent attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
  • Strong patient communication and customer service skills.
  • Comfortable working in both clinical and procedural environments.
  • Basic to intermediate computer skills
  • EMR/EHR experience preferred
  • CPR certification.

Responsibilities

  • Assist physicians during exams, sterile field set-up, procedures, and surgical cases.
  • Prepares/administers medications and injections per policy (5 Rights, expiry verification) and may process refill requests under provider direction.
  • Prepare patients for treatment, including histories and consent documentation.
  • Perform wound care, dressing changes, injections, and suture removals.
  • Prepare and stock exams rooms.
  • Perform specimen handling and collection.
  • Accurately document care, medications, test results, and procedures.
  • Coordinate appointments, referrals, and testing.
  • Maintain medical equipment and supplies; responds to in-clinic emergencies per protocol and documents per policy
  • Uphold HIPAA, safety standards, and quality care protocols
  • Performs proper infection control and biohazard waste disposal; supports CLIA-waived testing procedures as trained.
