This individual performs a variety of clinical and administrative duties to ensure the seamless operation of our healthcare facilities.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Basic knowledge of clinical procedures and medical terminology
- Proficient in electronic health records (EHR) and medical software
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and pay close attention to detail
- CPR and basic first aid knowledge preferred
Nice To Haves
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program preferred
- Certification (e.g., CMA, RMA, NCMA) is a plus
Responsibilities
- Assist physicians during patient examinations and medical procedures
- Prepare patients for exams, tests, or treatments
- Administer medications as directed by the physician
- Collect and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis
- Perform basic lab tests and electrocardiograms (EKGs)
- Educate patients about treatment plans, medications, and physician instructions
- Sterilize equipment and maintain clean, orderly exam rooms
- Monitor and follow health, safety, and environmental protocols
- Keep examination rooms stocked and order necessary medical and office supplies
