JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 Work Shift: Monday - Friday: 7:30a - 4:00p Summary of the Job: Responsible for assisting registered nurse with various duties which include communicating with patients, technologists, and physicians to provide breast care. Manage result correspondence and schedule diagnostic exams, procedures, and biopsies. Responsible for proper documentation and understanding physician orders, communicating with physician offices and accuracy in data entry.

Requirements

  • High School graduate or GED required
  • A minimum of two years of healthcare experience in applicable role is required
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills and customer service skills are a must
  • Must have knowledge of computer skills and EMR programs for data entry
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and others
  • Competent computer skills and ability to pass test required for Epic EMR access
  • Ability to multitask and work in fast paced environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and phone skills
  • Ability to utilize basic office equipment such as copier and fax machine
  • Must possess good physical health
  • Some requirements include but are not limited to standing, sitting or walking for long periods of time
  • Lifting at least 20 pounds is required
  • Must be able to work with a moderate level of noise
  • Constant (67%-100%) - handling/feeling, talking, hearing, seeing
  • Frequently (34%-66%) - NONE
  • Occasionally (1%-33%) – lifting, carrying, pushing/pulling, climbing (stairs, ladders, etc), balancing, stooping, reaching

Nice To Haves

  • Medical Assistant Certification and completion of Medical Terminology Course preferred
