About The Position

Neuhaus Foot and Ankle is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to join their growing team across multiple clinics in Mount Juliet/Hermitage, Middle Tennessee. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working in healthcare and thrive in a professional, positive environment where patient care is the top priority. The position involves working closely with foot and ankle doctors, assisting with patient preparation for exams and minor procedures, and performing various administrative tasks.   • At least 1 year of full-time experience in a patient facing role or at least 2 years working full-time in a high volume, customer service role
  • Great communication skills, both verbal and written

Responsibilities

  • Complete administrative tasks supporting physicians
  • Greet and escort patients from waiting room to treatment room
  • Accompany the physician in the treatment room, documenting physician-dictated patient history, including history of present illness, review of systems, past medical and surgical history, family and social histories, medications and allergies
  • Document physical examination findings and procedures as performed by the physician
  • Verify benefits for in office procedures, DME and custom orthotics
  • Prepare lab work to be sent
  • Help doctors and other team members as needed
  • During non-clinic time, answer phones and follow up with patients
  • Perform all other duties as assigned
  • Traveling to other clinics as needed
  • Giving high fives to colleagues
