About The Position
The Staff Pad has partnered with a healthcare system in Hamilton, Texas that is seeking a Medical Assistant. This role blends clinical support and light administrative duties while working closely with providers to deliver quality patient care.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- CCMA certification (or ability to obtain within 120 days)
- CPR certification required
Nice To Haves
- Prior clinical experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for exams, including vitals and medical history intake
- Assist with procedures and administer medications per provider orders
- Perform basic lab testing (blood/urine) and EKGs
- Support patient flow and act as liaison between patient and provider
- Maintain exam room readiness, supplies, and equipment
- Document all care accurately in EMR
