About The Position

Medical Assistant Quad City Gastroenterology is hiring a full time Medical Assistant to join our busy and growing clinic! Welcome to Quad City Gastroenterology This position offers a Monday through Friday schedule with no holidays or weekends required. We are open to hiring new graduate Medical Assistants. Medical Assistant at Quad City Gastroenterology The Medical Assistant will greet and room patients, measure vital signs, provide educational materials to patients and families, enter data into patient charts, and ensure exam rooms are stocked with necessary supplies. Requirements

  • Must be competent in the use of basic office equipment including computer, printer, telephone, and fax.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and remain poised and professional when interacting with potentially hostile patients and family members.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with physicians and all medical professionals.
  • Current certification in BLS.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and room patients, ensuring a welcoming and professional environment.
  • Measure and record patients’ vital signs, reporting any abnormalities to the RN or physician.
  • Provide educational materials to patients and their families as instructed by the physician or RN.
  • Assist patients with mobility and preparation for clinical examinations or procedures.
  • Enter accurate and timely data into the practice’s electronic health record (EHR).
  • Ensure exam rooms are stocked with necessary supplies and maintain a clean, organized environment.
  • Support the RN and physician with patient care, including simple diagnostic tests or treatments as permitted by training and certification.
  • Follow infection control protocols and safety guidelines.
