About The Position
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking Medical Assistant for an exciting job in Carmel, IN.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of Medical Assistant experience (in addition to externship)
- 2–3 years of total experience preferred
- Phlebotomy/venipuncture experience required
- EMR experience required
- Experience supporting both front and back office functions required
- Medical Assistant Certification strongly preferred
- Occupational Health experience strongly preferred
- BLS or CPR certification required
- Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and computer proficiency
Nice To Haves
- Medical Assistant Certification strongly preferred
- Occupational Health experience strongly preferred
Responsibilities
- Support daily front and back office clinical operations
- Greet and room patients; obtain and document vital signs
- Prepare patients for examinations and procedures
- Perform phlebotomy/venipuncture and specimen collection
- Administer vaccines and assist with EKG and point-of-care (POC) testing
- Assist providers during exams and minor procedures
- Schedule appointments and manage incoming patient calls
- Accurately document patient information in EMR systems
- Maintain exam room readiness and support overall clinic workflow
