About The Position
Now Hiring Medical Assistants to join our team at various provider offices with First Physician's Group (FPG). Offices are located in the Sarasota, Bradenton, Lakewood Ranch, North Port, Gulf Gate, Nokomis and Venice areas: Family Medicine Pediatrics Internal Medicine OB/Gyn ENT (ear nose and throat) GI Neurology Endocrinology Laryngology Pulmonology Dermatology Cardioloyg Orhopedics Urology Plastics Medical Assistant job title in our FPG offices is Clinical Care Coordinator I Pay Range = $20.00/hr-$28.20/hr Pay rates offered are based on years of Medical Assistant experience (and equity with others on the team). Opportunities for New Grad and Experienced Medical Assistants! Individualized orientation/training Specialized training in patient management for a wide range of healthcare services
Requirements
- Requires current certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) by : -American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), -National Healthcare Association (NHA) -National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) OR Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) by: -American Medical Technologists (AMT) -Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA) -National Association for Health Professionals (NAHP); OR a certified EMT.
- Note: Experienced medical assistants with a minimum of one (1) to two (2) years of experience, and with a certification from a certifying agency not noted above, or without certification , agrees to register with one of the currently accepted agencies for MA Certification and schedule a test date within 6 months from date of hire . Test for certification may be beyond the six (6) month date. Certification must be received and presented to HR within 12 months of date of hire.
- Requires Basic Life Support/CPR certification; or must be obtained within thirty (30) days of hire/transfer date
- Must be from American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- High School Diploma, GED or Certificate
Nice To Haves
- Prefer one (1) year of clinical experience in an outpatient physician’s office practice.
- Prefer experience with electronic practice management and electronic health record programs.
- Prefer the ability to demonstrate self-direction and initiative.
- Prefer demonstrated knowledge of electronic practice management and electronic health records software along with skill in all Microsoft office software programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point).
