The Medical Assistant supports medical and nursing staff in providing care and comfort to infant, toddler, preschool, school-age, adolescent, and young adult patients during outpatient clinic appointments. This role involves performing routine clinical and clerical tasks, phlebotomy, and assisting with cast application and removal. This is a full-time, non-exempt position.
Requirements
- Medical Assistant Certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1+ years of Medical Assistant experience
Responsibilities
- Collect and report data to assist the multidisciplinary team in the evaluation of patient needs
- Performs a variety of comprehensive registration and scheduling functions
- Demonstrate open, accurate and timely communication with patients, families and interdisciplinaryteam members to ensure effective therapeutic interventions
