Job Summary Prepare patients for provider exam, take vital signs, record patient history and assist in office procedures. Administer treatment, medications and injections as ordered. Conducts pre-visit planning by reviewing and updating patient charts prior to appointment with recent test results and correspondence. Call patient regarding test results as instructed by provider.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required or 1-2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant in lieu of High School Diploma.
• Completion of Medical Assistant Program required.
• Three to five years in a healthcare setting is preferred.
• Computer skills required.
• BLS required within 90 days of hire/transfer.
• Completion of annual Medical Assistant Competency training.

Nice To Haves

• Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills required.
