About The Position

Serving communities in Kern, Los Angeles and Ventura counties in Southern California Region, the goal of Adventist Health Physician’s Network is to create a network of providers who understand the health care and social needs of the community. Key services include primary care, urgent care, women’s and children’s, cardiology, surgical specialties and more. Additionally, the Southern California physician organization includes an Independent Physician Association (IPA) that manages 23,000 lives in the Glendale and Los Angeles markets and a Clinically Integrated Network (CIN) of providers in Simi Valley. Job Summary: Performs non-invasive, routine, technical support services under the specific authorization and supervision of a licensed physician, podiatrist, physician assistant, nurse practitioner or nurse midwife.

Requirements

• High School Education/GED or equivalent: Required
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) or equivalent combination of licensure and experience: Preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS OR HS-BLS OR RQIBLS) Health Care Provider certification: Required
• Successful completion of audiometry and vision training or have a certificate from CHDP within six months of hire.: Preferred
• Phlebotomy certificate: Preferred

Responsibilities

• Sets up exam rooms and checks in patients.
• Maintains a patient recall system, including continuity of care log for lab tests, referrals and transfers.
• Obtains vital signs.
• Reports significant findings and pertinent patient observations to clinic physician.
• Performs venipunctures as ordered.
• Performs audiometry and vision testing.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
