Schedule: Full-Time, Monday-Thursday, 7am-5:30pm (Fridays + Weekends OFF)

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Evidence of Medical Assistant training including all the essential job functions, knowledge, skills, and abilities listed here in this job description, or MA Certification required.
• Will have up to-date training and certification in Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or American Health & Safety Institute. Must obtain within 2 weeks if not current at hire.

Nice To Haves

• Graduate of an accredited program for Medical Assistants, or CMA- Certification by the AAMA, or RMA- Certification by the AMT, or CCMA- Certification by the NHA. Or prepared to certify within 60 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates compassion, collaboration, clear communication, and sound clinical judgment in every interaction, supporting safe, high-quality care for the children and families we serve.
• Partners directly with a Pediatrician to deliver comprehensive patient care, including pre-visit planning, chart review, medication refills, rooming, and hands-on clinical support in alignment with PCHC’s Medical Assistant Job Description and Clinical Competency Checklist.
• Provides desktop coverage, triages clinical requests, and supports care teams across the clinic. Maintains strong knowledge of provider workflows to ensure timely, seamless communication and coordination of care.
• Performs phlebotomy and specimen processing with accuracy and efficiency, ensuring reliable lab workflows that contribute to timely diagnosis and treatment.
• Assists in maintaining exam rooms, equipment, and supplies; upholds quality assurance and safety standards; and collaborates closely with clinical and administrative teams to ensure smooth operations and exceptional patient experiences.
