About The Position

We are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA/CST) to join our growing team at a Gastroenterology Surgical Center specializing in colonoscopy and endoscopy procedures.

This role is ideal for a motivated and detail-oriented professional who can support both clinical and administrative operations to ensure high-quality patient care and efficient workflow.

Position Summary

The Medical Assistant will perform a combination of clinical and administrative duties, assisting providers and nursing staff before, during, and after procedures. This position plays a critical role in maintaining patient flow, ensuring compliance with protocols, and delivering an excellent patient experience.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a healthcare setting (surgical center or GI experience preferred)
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills
• Excellent communication and patient service skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment
• High attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
• Graduate of an accredited School of Surgical Technology or current CST certification
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• Current TB test and Flu Shot
• Hepatitis B and Varicella immunity (titers required)
• COVID-19 vaccination
• Fluent in Spanish and English

Nice To Haves

• Experience in gastroenterology or endoscopy procedures
• Familiarity with EMR systems (e.g., ModMed or similar)
• Knowledge of sterilization and infection control protocols
• Experience in ambulatory surgical centers (ASC)
