About The Position
Our busy dermatology practice is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant with EMR experience! We are looking for a friendly, motivated team player who is willing and able to learn and be a member of an awesome team. We welcome candidates taking a gap year prior to PA School.
Requirements
- 1+ year(s) of Medical Assistant experience (Required)
- EMR experience (Required)
- High School Diploma
Nice To Haves
- Dermatology experience (Preferred)
- Front desk experience (Preferred)
Responsibilities
- Room Patients, triage, obtain/document medical history and chief complaint in EMR
- Document Allergies and Medications and Obtain Informed consent from patients
- Scribe and assist provider during exams and procedures
- Assist skin cancer surgeries, medical procedures and cosmetic procedures
- Prescription management
- Patient call backs with pathology results/Schedule excisions
- Prior Authorizations and Biologics
- Clean and restock exam rooms/assist with inventory
- Sterilize Instruments
- Assist with any administrative duties such as answering the phone, patient questions and scheduling
