About The Position
A wonderful opportunity! No evenings or weekends! Full time Medical Assistant position available in our busy Outpatient Mental Health facility in Phoenixville, PA. An applicant must possess strong EMR experience, must share a passion for patient and customer centered care, and be a flexible team player.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of 1 yr. of Medical Assistant or equivalent experience
- Experience with electronic medical records
Responsibilities
- Charting in EMR (computer experience necessary, eCW experience preferred)
- Verifies patient information by interviewing patients, documenting medical history, current and past medication history, family history, social history, allergies, and confirming purpose of visit.
- Prepares patients for examination by performing preliminary vitals.
- Ensures all related reports, labs and information is available in patient's medical records prior to their appointment
- Triage and process messages from patients and front office staff to psychiatrists and CRNPs. Provide feedback and answers to patient/psychiatrist/pharmacy calls.
- Process medication Prior Authorizations.
- All other duties as assigned.
