Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED is required and will be required to produce at time of hire.
  • BLS required upon hire or must be obtained within 30 days of employment (FCS will provide BLS course within first 30 days).
  • Valid Florida driver’s license is needed for travel to the clinics.
  • Clear results of a thorough background screening.
  • Receive various vaccinations, including the influenza vaccine, barring an approved exemption.
  • Subject to drug/nicotine testing (FCS is a drug-free workplace, and individuals who use products containing tobacco/nicotine of any kind are ineligible for hire).

Nice To Haves

  • At least one year of experience as a medical assistant in a clinic or physician’s office with the ability to perform venipunctures.

Responsibilities

  • Assist physicians with medical procedures in office.
  • Responsible for phlebotomy, laboratory testing, quality control, instrument troubleshooting, and maintenance.
