About The Position
A Medical Assistant performs administrative and certain clinical duties under direction of a physician. Status: Full Time, 36 hours per week
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Formal Medical Assistant training.
- Current BLS certification.
- RMA or CMA; current credential or licensure within 3 months of employment.
Responsibilities
- Perform patient in-take: vital signs, medical histories, update active medication list, verify information updated in electronic medical record.
- Perform EKG’s when ordered.
- Prepare patients for examination.
- Prepare equipment and rooms for exams and procedures.
- Draw blood, culture specimen collection, and perform routine urine tests.
- Complete lab requisitions.
- Administer medications/vaccines as directed by physician.
