Position Summary Performs clinical tasks related to assisting providers within the clinical areas. Greets patients and visitors in a professional, courteous manner at all times. Maintains patient confidentiality, respect and HIPAA guidelines at all times.
Requirements
- HS diploma or equivalency is required
- Certification as Medical Assistant and/or completion of a Medical Assistant certification program preferred
- Medical office experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Assists patients and providers preparing with examinations, minor procedures within the office, phlebotomy and/or collection of specimens.
- Performs blood pressures, vital signs and physical assessment of patient through triage.
- Performs ancillary testing as ordered by providers.
- Completes clear, accurate documentation within the patient medical record.
- Maintains all clinical areas with supplies necessary to function daily.
- Keeps exam rooms and work areas within the office clean and sanitary at all times.
