About The Position

Corewell Health is offering a $3,000 sign-on bonus for this opportunity! Sign-On Bonus for External applicants or current CHW MA Apprentice Students only About the Unit Our Spine Center works together to provide personalized care based on each patient’s health journey. Our unique approach matches each patient with the most appropriate specialist from diagnosis through treatment and rehabilitation. We offer 3 specialties in one location, Physical Medicine Rehab, Spine Surgery, and Pain Intervention that all offer many different modalities of treatment including (but not limited to) non-surgical treatments/conservative care, surgical treatments, outpatient procedures, and pain psychology. Culture in the office: We are a team that is growing immensely but have strong, intimate teams within each subspecialty. Staff and providers are eager to teach the team and continually educate themselves on best practice. Leadership strives to make it an environment where all team members feel safe, can have fun, and enjoy coming to work. Current Office Hours: 7am-5:30pm Four 10hr shifts, one consistent day off during the week. No weekends, no Holidays Number of Providers: Pain- 43 and continuing to grow. This number consists of Providers, APP’s and Nurse Practitioners. About Outpatient Clinics Corewell Health operates over 300 outpatient clinics across Michigan, bringing a multitude of care options to the communities that we serve. There are over 40 different types of primary care and specialty practices, which allows those who work in these clinics the opportunity to learn and explore various interests or to specialize in one area. Scope of work As a Medical Assistant with Corewell Health, you'll be a member of our clinical support team and work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure the delivery of the best possible care. You'll be a vital part of our team, making a real difference in the lives of our patients.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent Required
• Successful completion of a competency-based medical assistant training program Required
• AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Required within 90 Days
• AAMA Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) Required within 120 Days
• AMT Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) Required within 120 Days
• NHA Certified Medical Assistant (CCMA) Required within 120 Days
• NCCT Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) Required within 120 Days
• NAHP Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA) Required within 120 Days

Nice To Haves

• 1 year of relevant experience in a physician practice or healthcare setting Preferred
