Redefine Healthcare is looking for a dedicated, full-time Medical Assistant to join our expanding team of healthcare professionals in our Egg Harbor Office. The Vascular Surgeon Medical Assistant supports a vascular surgeon in delivering high‑quality patient care by performing clinical, administrative, and procedural tasks. This role ensures smooth patient flow, accurate documentation, and efficient coordination of vascular procedures, diagnostics, and follow‑up care. The assistant works closely with the surgeon, nursing staff, and diagnostic teams to optimize patient outcomes. Requirements

  • Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, CCMA, or equivalent) preferred
  • Knowledge of vascular anatomy, common vascular conditions, and diagnostic tests
  • Strong communication, multitasking, and patient‑care skills
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced clinical office environment

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of Athena EMR system recommended but not required

Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients for vascular examinations, procedures, and minor in‑office treatments
  • Obtain and document vital signs, medical history, medications, allergies, and chief complaints
  • Assist the surgeon during in‑office procedures such as wound care, suture removal, dressing changes, and ultrasound‑guided interventions
  • Perform basic clinical tasks such as ABI measurements, pulse checks, and post‑operative assessments (as permitted by state regulations)
  • Manage sterile instruments, procedure trays, and exam room setup/cleanup
  • Provide patient education on pre‑ and post‑operative instructions, wound care, compression therapy, and medication adherence
  • Coordinate diagnostic testing (vascular ultrasound, CT angiography, ABI, etc.)
  • Schedule patient appointments, surgeries, and follow‑up visits
  • Handle prior authorizations for imaging, procedures, and medications
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the Athena electronic medical record (EMR)
  • Process referrals, lab results, imaging reports, and patient messages
  • Manage supply inventory for vascular procedures and clinical rooms
