About The Position
SMG Cardiology Spec Kempsville is hiring a Medical Assistant! Sign on Bonus up to 5K offered to eligible candidate! Position Location: Norfolk, VA Position Status: Fulltime Days Overview Perform patient care and administrative/clerical related tasks and procedures based on training, education, and competency evaluations, and as delegated by and under the direction/supervision of the Physician, Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant (NP/PA), Registered Nurse (RN), or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Must have one of the following Certifications: Certified Medical Assistant Registered Medical Assistant Certified Clinical Medical Assistant Certified EMT (EMT-B, AEMT)
- BLS certification required within 90 days of hire
- Clinical/Administrative experience 1 year preferred
- Phlebotomy experience preferred
- Experience with electronic medical records preferred
Nice To Haves

Responsibilities
