Position Details: Full-Time: 40 hours per week Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Locations: 330 Borthwick Ave, STE 303 Portsmouth, NH 03801-7109 1 Hampton Road Unit 208 Building B Exeter, New Hampshire 03833 278 Lafayette Rd Building E Portsmouth, New Hampshire 03801 750 Central Ave STE O Dover, New Hampshire 03820 Job Summary: As a Medical Assistant at Seacoast Dermatology, you’ll play a vital role in the patient experience. You will work closely with our dermatologists, assisting in patient care, ensuring a smooth visit, and maintaining a friendly, efficient environment for both patients and staff. Your contribution will directly support the seamless operation of our clinic and help deliver top-quality care to our patients. Requirements

  • Minimum post high-school education in a medical support field: Certified Medical Assistant, Licensed Practical Nurse, or Registered Nurse (Non-Certified Medical Assistants will need to complete the Forefront Derm Tech certification program within the prescribed time period and maintain certification upon expiration).
  • Post High School education in a medical support field: Certified Medical Assistant, DERM Tech
  • 1-2 years of recent experience in a medical office in a similar capacity is preferred
  • Must keep current on all state certifications, licenses and/or registrations to continue employment
  • Must be willing to travel to other clinic locations as needed
  • Proficiency with computers including Microsoft Office and Electronic Medical Record systems
  • Must possess organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively and cooperatively with staff, clients, and visitors
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize appropriately, and work well both individually and as part of a team

Responsibilities

  • Rooming patients and documents all vital information
  • Scribing information for the dermatologist
  • Providing post op wound care to patients
  • Drawing blood and suture removal
  • Cleaning and stocking the exam rooms
  • Scheduling patient appointments
  • Assisting the dermatologist with procedures such as:
  • Surgical photographs
  • Biopsies – punch, DIF and shave
  • Excisions
  • Electrodessication and curettage
  • I&D
  • Mohs micrographic skin cancer surgery
  • Phototherapy
  • Injections
  • Koh preps
  • Trichograms
  • Tzank preps
  • Dermabrasion
  • Patch testing
  • Blue light
