Requirements

  • minimum 1 year experience
  • must be able to speak Spanish fluently

Nice To Haves

  • graduate of medical assistant training course or nursing program preferred
  • front end medical office experience helpful

Responsibilities

  • maintain general appearance, cleanliness of exam rooms
  • sterilize instruments, maintain diagnostic equipment
  • prepare, replenish supplies; maintain inventory
  • prepare, drape patients for examination
  • take patient histories, heigh, weight, temperature
  • given certain medications under physician supervision
  • facilitate patient positioning for mini-C arm and diagnostic US
  • record laboratory, XR, EKG data on patient charts
  • receive and organize the handling of medication samples
  • assist physician with daily clinical throughput and turnover
  • provide front end customer service
  • apply casts and splints (you will be taught this)
  • Facilitate OR case management across multiple health organizations
  • Serve as a flexible team player in a dynamic small practice environment
  • supervise, train all front office personnel
  • facilitate insurance prior authorizations in conjunction with the physician
  • arrange personnel schedules and vacations
